We already have several major projects underway and are looking to strengthen our team for a Machine Learning Lead!
Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to a multidisciplinary machine learning team, fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration.
• Drive the creation and enhancement of predictive models and machine learning algorithms that solve complex problems and improve customer experiences.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of machine learning projects, ensuring they meet business goals and are delivered on time and within budget.
• Serve as the senior expert in machine learning, guiding the team in the design, development, and optimization of state-of-the-art AI models for both NLP and speech technologies.
• Collaborate with other departments, including IT, product development, and operations, to integrate AI technologies into various banking products and operational processes.
• Allocate resources effectively, manage team workload, and ensure continuous professional development and training of team members.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in AI and machine learning. Lead initiatives to test and adopt new technologies and methodologies that can enhance our AI capabilities.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators for AI projects and team productivity. Ensure high standards of quality and reliability in all AI solutions deployed.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes of AI initiatives to senior management and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Science, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity, demonstrating successful management and execution of projects.
• Extensive experience with Voice Assistant technologies and Natural Language Processing (NLP) projects. Proficiency in developing and fine-tuning transformer models.
• Skilled in advanced NLU tasks including Named Entity Recognition, fact extraction, and other voice assistance-related functionalities.
• Experience in search engines and recommendation systems is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages and ML frameworks, including Python, R, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Strong ability to comprehend complex business challenges and translate them into actionable data-driven models. Possess a keen understanding of how to align AI strategies with business objectives.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
